SDP BiH Congress in Sarajevo: Over 850 Delegates to Elect Party Bodies

At the Congress of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of BiH, held today in the Mirza Delibašić hall, 859 delegates will elect the new composition of the Main and Supervisory Boards, and the Statute and Program of SDP BiH will also be amended, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

At the Congress itself, the start of the mandate of SDP BiH President Nermin Nikšić will be formalized, after he was elected in the elections on September 20 under the system of “One member-one vote” with 12,883 votes.

The 110 members of the Main Board will elect the vice-presidents of the SDP, the Presidency, and the Secretary General.

The Main Board of SDP BiH earlier adopted the text of the proposed Party Statute, which will be forwarded to the Congress delegates for adoption, as well as the proposed updated Program of SDP BiH, which will be submitted to the delegates.

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., addresses by guests and SDP President Nermin Nikšić are planned.

Numerous guests from the region and BiH will also attend the SDP Congress.
