Independent Bloc Congress in Sarajevo: Senad Šepić remains president, Kasumović leaves the party

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Congress of the Independent Bloc was held today in Sarajevo, where Senad Šepić was elected president. The other candidate was Fuad Kasumović, the current mayor of Zenica. Almost 200 delegates participated in today's Congress, and 146 delegates voted for Šepić, while Kasumović received 39 votes. Kasumović left during the Congress, as did the delegates who supported him, claiming he saw irregularities during the vote count. He announced his departure from the Independent Bloc. 

Also, the party's vice-presidents were elected at the Congress: Razija Mujanović, Nisvet Jusić, Admir Čavalić, Darko Jotanović, and Branislav Trbojević. Members of the Ethics, Supervisory, and Main Boards were elected, and the Statute, Program Declaration, and Political Manifesto of the Independent Bloc were adopted, outlining the Party's goals, values, priorities, and vision for the period 2019-2023.

As announced on the official Facebook page of NB, internal elections at lower levels were organized and conducted in the past four months.

In the process of internal elections, local, municipal, city organizations, as well as cantonal and regional boards, and the Brčko District organization of NB were elected.
