Independent Bloc Congress on April 14

(Patria) - The Presidency of the Independent Bloc at today's session held in Sarajevo reviewed and supported the current course and process of internal party elections within the Independent Bloc. In this regard, the Presidency decided that the Party Congress will be held on April 14, 2019, in Sarajevo. In addition to this decision, the Presidency gave full support to the Policy Development Team and the elected representatives of the Independent Bloc who are proposing initiatives and new policies that are an integral part of the Independent Bloc's pre-election platform, and appointed the Commission for the Election of Scholarship Holders of the Independent Bloc Solidarity Fund.

Also, previous decisions of the Ethics Committee were supported, as well as the directions of political action and efforts to build an alternative to the existing ruling regimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a new policy that will be people-oriented, not focused on political elites.

"We will hold the Congress on April 14, 2019, and thus strengthen our political project. The Independent Bloc is a new political party and, as far as I know, the first political organization that will hold a congress after the General Elections. With this, we show that we want to remain true to the principles and ideas for which we founded the party. We will not betray our voters and disappoint their trust for which they supported us, and we will remain a strong voice against the current way of governing this country. Our values and efforts to make Bosnia and Herzegovina a modern, evenly developed, European country with the rule of law and institutions, not individuals and political fraudsters, will remain the basic directions of our action, and I am pleased that through the process of internal party elections, a large number of new members have joined us for these principles, who will play an important role within the Independent Bloc in the coming period," said Senad Šepić, president of the Independent Bloc.
