Conference Dedicated to Tourism: "Jahorina Business Days" on February 25 and 26

The "Jahorina Business Days", an international scientific and professional conference dedicated to tourism as the most promising economic sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the countries of Southeast Europe, as well as other topics in the field of economics and entrepreneurship, will be held at the Hotel „Termag“ on Jahorina on February 25 and 26, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The conference, organized for the fourth consecutive year by the Faculty of Economics of the University of East Sarajevo and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the University of Zenica, will be officially opened on Wednesday, February 25 at 10 a.m.

This year, the organization of the conference has a regional character, as its co-organizers are the Faculty of Economics in Subotica of the University of Novi Sad and the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica of the University of Montenegro.

At the conference, which will this year focus on the topic „Tourism in the Function of Economic Development“, 70 papers by renowned scientists, experts, and students from universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Slovenia, and Germany will be presented.

After the plenary session, whose introductory speakers are Prof. Dr. Peter Schulte from the Institute for European Affairs (INEA) in Germany, Prof. Dr. Ljubica Knežević – Cvelbar from the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana, and Prof. Dr. Slavica Tomić from the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, the papers will be presented in three sessions, during which an attempt will be made to answer the question of how tourism helps economic development, what is new in the tourism sector, which forms of tourism are currently most acceptable and profitable, and whether tourism revenues can compensate for the lack of production in other economic sectors.

During the conference, a traditional presentation of the gastro offer of the Sarajevo-Romanija region will be organized, as well as a tour of Jahorina and other tourist destinations and attractions of this area.
