Conference 'Biden Administration's Policy in BiH: 30 Years of the Federation of BiH' on June 20 at Hotel Evropa

(Patria) - The American-European Alliance and the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) are pleased to announce the conference titled "Biden Administration's Policy in BiH: 30 Years of the Federation of BiH". This conference will gather eminent domestic and foreign experts in political science and geopolitics, and will be held on June 20, 2024, at Hotel Evropa, Sarajevo, from 9:45 AM to 3:00 PM.

The conference program will be divided into three main sessions. The first two sessions will be in English due to guests from the United States of America, while the last session will be in Bosnian.

The first panel will be introductory, and after the welcoming remarks by Reuf Bajrović, Vice President of the American-European Alliance, and Jahja Muhasilović, Professor at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), Daniel Serwer, former US Special Envoy for FBiH, will give the opening address. In the first part of the panel discussion, which is also introductory, the speakers will be: Reuf Bajrović, representing the American-European Alliance, Jasmin Mujanović, author of the book “Bosniaks: A National Identity After Genocide”, and Slaven Kovačević, applicant to the European Court of Human Rights.

Second panel - Thematically focused on the question: "Have Christian Schmidt's interventions made Bosnia functional?" (11:15 AM - 12:30 PM)

The speakers at this panel will be: Tanya Domi, from Columbia University, Jahja Muhasilović, from the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), Zlatko Hadžidedić, geopolitical analyst.

Third panel - "Bosnia and the West: Implications of the European Court of Human Rights Judgments" will be in Bosnian. (1:30 PM - 3:00 PM).

The speakers for this panel are: Azra Zornić, applicant to the European Court of Human Rights, Miro Lazović, former President of the Assembly of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hasan Nuhanović, from the Srebrenica Memorial Center.
