Konaković for NAP: It is possible we will also have a deputy mayor

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – President of the People and Justice party Elmedin Konaković confirmed to the Patria News Agency that NIP and Naša stranka will each nominate one candidate for the positions of deputy mayor. At today's meeting with Bogić Bogićević, held with the presidents of SDP BiH Nermin Nikšić and Naša stranka Predrag Kojović and Konaković, discussions were held about future plans and the implementation of some projects. 

"We take every opportunity to 'scratch' another topic and get useful advice. He is a man who is one of the greatest authorities in the former Yugoslavia," said Konaković. 

Given that Bogićević is a Serb, candidates for the positions of deputy mayor can be appointed from among Bosniaks, Croats, or Others. 

Konaković still could not reveal the name of the candidate that People and Justice will propose, although they already know who it will be, but said it would not be fair to Naša stranka to reveal it now. When asked whether a woman will be appointed to one of the positions, Konaković left that possibility open.  

The president of NIP told NAP that the majority in the City Council of the Four-party coalition is not in question, but added: 

"Unless somewhere Asim, Skaka, and the Eight are not working, not attacking, not buying, but even then the majority is not in question," said Konaković. 

He confirmed that the position of chairperson, according to the agreement, belongs to People and Justice, but could not say whether it will or will not be Jasmin Ademović.

"It is not in question that the position of Chairperson of the City Council belongs to People and Justice, and we will also have the largest number of councilors in the coalition that elects. The structure of the mayor and deputy mayors will be important, and the leadership of the City Council will depend on that. In the leadership of the City Council, NBL should also have a position," concluded Konaković.
