Konaković: We need more courage to make decisions, we found a way to unblock two commissions

(Patria) - The President of SDP BiH Nermin Nikšić said that the meeting of partners at the Federation of BiH level was of high quality.

“We are bringing our positions closer, the Federation is speaking with one voice, approaching these talks. Some things are not decided only here among us, we have partners from RS with whom we need to talk, but through compromise, we must reach solutions that will enable us to open negotiations with the EU as soon as possible. That is the goal we are striving for and that is something for which we are prepared to endure some things. I am sure that our approach will ultimately result in what is our common goal and desire, and that is BiH's path to Euro-Atlantic integration,” said Nikšić.

The President of NIP Elmedin Konaković said that they have reached a stage where their meetings are no longer intrigue.

“Everything is getting easier and easier as we move into the next phase. We have emphasized the functionality of the FBiH Government, but it seems to me that Parliament is slightly succumbing to the pressure of the most destructive opposition I have ever seen. We have found a way to unblock these processes that these people are blocking. What they are doing with two commissions, I have bad news for them, we have found a way to unblock it. They will regret it one day. They will regret slowing down our intention to live better. We need a little more courage in making decisions. Tomorrow we will have some meetings that will lead us in that direction,” said Konaković.

State representative Predrag Kojović (NS) said that there is agreement among the partners on difficult topics and that he hopes that SNSD will also accept it.

"Maximum efforts are being made to open negotiations. This is a completely new future. A year ago, BiH was a Spanish village in Brussels. Today, we are on the verge of opening negotiations. We have achieved a constructive atmosphere, at least here in FBiH. We can have different viewpoints, but I think we can find a solution.
We will certainly not go below the 2023 budget for 2024, and we also need to plan funds that we might withdraw from the Growth Plan,” he said.
