Konaković met with Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon

(Patria) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković met, within the framework of participation in the 21st Doha Forum, with the Prime Minister's Special Representative for
the Prevention of Sexual Violence in Conflict and UK Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and the United Nations at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Lord (Tariq) Ahmad of Wimbledon.

It was emphasized at the meeting that Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United Kingdom have good and
friendly relations, reflected through intensive political dialogue and substantive cooperation in numerous areas.

The interlocutors discussed a number of topics of mutual interest and exchanged views on
current geopolitical and economic issues.

Minister Konaković emphasized on this occasion that the United Kingdom's support for the reform and integration processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina is extremely important and that our country appreciates the UK's strong commitment to continuing to provide political, economic, and security assistance and support to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Lord Ahmad reiterated the United Kingdom's unequivocal support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as for our country's reform process on the path to the EU. He expressed gratitude for Bosnia and Herzegovina's support for the United Kingdom's "Call to Action" initiative, launched to ensure the rights and well-being of children born of sexual violence in conflict.

Contractual relations and defense cooperation were also discussed at the meeting. At the end of the conversation, Minister Konaković praised the efforts and leadership of Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon and the UK in the Global Initiative for the Prevention of Sexual Violence in Conflict (PSVI), which BiH fully supports.
