He expressed hope that the UK will continue to support the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in implementing reforms, strengthening the rule of law, and protecting democratic values.
During the meeting, Konaković specifically addressed the current political and security situation in our country.
He warned of the brutal attack by the leadership of the entity of RS, led by Milorad Dodik, on the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has recently been threatening peace and security in our country and the region.
In that context, he reiterated that Bosnia and Herzegovina's path to the European Union has no alternative and that it represents a priority for political actors, who at this moment represent pro-European forces in our country.
Secretary of State Lammy reiterated that the United Kingdom expresses strong condemnation of the secessionist moves by the President of RS, Milorad Dodik, and the leadership of that BiH entity.
He emphasized his country's firm support for the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as for the preservation of peace and security.
He particularly highlighted support for the institutions of BiH and their mechanisms as a response to the crisis.
