Konaković discussed challenges and political processes in BiH with Grlić Radman

(Patria) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, met on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference with the Minister of Foreign and European
Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Grlić Radman.

Bilateral cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, regional relations, and activities on our country's European path were discussed. The firm
commitment to further improve and strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries was emphasized.

Minister Konaković expressed gratitude for the firm and sincere support of the Republic of Croatia for the
European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina and for the support in opening negotiations. He informed his interlocutor about the political situation in our country and current developments on the path to the EU. He emphasized that the current Council of Ministers of BiH has made a huge step forward on the European path and remains committed to implementing important reforms in the country. He informed about the recent adoption of key laws on border control and personal data protection, the adoption of which was insisted upon by the European Commission in order to formally open the negotiation process with BiH. In the context of challenges and political processes in our country, Minister Konaković reiterated that Bosnia and Herzegovina's path to the European Union has no alternative and that it is a priority for political actors who currently represent pro-European forces in the country.

Minister Grlić Radman reiterated the strong support of the Republic of Croatia for the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He emphasized that Croatia remains ready to lobby for BiH on its path to the EU and wants these processes to move forward.

During the meeting, an improvement of relations, strengthening of economic cooperation, contractual relations, and infrastructure projects were also discussed.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Josip Brkić, also participated in the meeting.
