
(Patria) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković met today in Washington with US Congressman Wesley Bell.
The meeting discussed the current political situation in our country and the improvement of relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States of America.
Konaković expressed his gratitude to Congressman Bell for his continuous support through the BiH Caucus, as well as the Law on Supporting the Dayton Peace Agreement through Sanctions, which was introduced in the US Congress last month.
He pointed out the importance of further strengthening ties between the two countries, emphasizing that it is of particular importance for the US to maintain its focus on the Western Balkans in the coming period, given the geostrategic and security challenges.
Congressman Bell confirmed that the US remains a committed ally of Bosnia and Herzegovina and reiterated its commitment to strengthening relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the conversation, he specifically referred to the role of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian community in St. Louis, which is extremely well integrated into American society.
