Konaković also took on the role of "Interior" Minister: "Central authorities" lack the power to arrest Dodik

(Patria) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, stated that the "central authorities" in Sarajevo do not have the power to arrest the president of the smaller BiH entity RS, Milorad Dodik.

"Unfortunately, as a person, I would like the central system of BiH to be powerful enough to send a brigade of police, gendarmerie to bring him in tonight. In a Dayton-organized BiH with the MUP of RS, 8,000 armed men that Dodik is ready to push into conflict, I truly support this moderate or strategic approach of our institutions that are slowly tightening the noose around Dodik. They did not rush and did not give him any arguments for the conflict he desires," Konaković told Dnevnik plus TV USK.

In the same interview, he said that Dodik, through serious criminal acts, is becoming an undesirable partner to "all of us" and that the HDZ also understands this.

"Dodik has not left even a millimeter of space for anyone to consider him any kind of partner. In a hopeless situation, he has no choice but to create a further atmosphere of tyranny, to harass people who do not think like him. And that is why it is good that this happened. We must keep a cool head during this turbulent period, so as not to fall into the fire that Dodik wants," Konaković said.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office issued an order this week to bring Milorad Dodik, Nenad Stevandić, and Radovan Višković for questioning as suspects for attacking the constitutional order, but the Court Police of BiH and SIPA, which were supposed to assist, did not execute the order due to a "security assessment".

The BiH Court, at the proposal of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, ordered pre-trial detention for the three, and a central search is expected to be issued.
