Elmedin Konaković has been elected as the mandate holder for the formation of the new Government of Sarajevo Canton. This is the decision of the members of the Executive Board of the Cantonal Board of SDA Sarajevo made at tonight's session, writes the Patria News Agency.
Konaković received 21 out of 28 votes from the Executive Board members. His opponent was Muharem Šabić. Many years of political experience and a good understanding of the issues in Sarajevo Canton were decisive in the decision.
The decision of the Executive Board is now being sent to the Presidency of SDA, which gives formal approval.
