Konaković calls on Izetbegović: Let us applaud you as a statesman for once

Elmedin Konaković, leader of NIP, sent another call on Facebook to SDA president, Bakir Izetbegović, to gather enough political forces that would be able to elect a new mayor of Mostar.

"Let us applaud you as a statesman for once," said Konaković.

Konaković points out that Izetbegović must not miss the chance enabled by the OHR by annulling the first round of voting.

"The Party of Democratic Action knew it did not have 18 votes in Mostar, yet it proceeded with the process of electing a new mayor," Konaković emphasized, noting that Boško Ćavar represents a great victory for Bosnian-Herzegovinian politics.

We doubt Bakir Izetbegović's leadership, he states, yet we would applaud him if he gathered 18 or more votes in the Mostar City Council, which would implement new Bosnian-Herzegovinian politics.

Quoting SDP president Nermin Nikšić, Konaković concluded that this would not be a defeat for Bosniak or Croat politics, but a victory for the Bosnian-Herzegovinian side.

Konaković did not state from which party, in case of such a development, such a candidate would be proposed.
