Konaković confirms he will not resign as Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Elmedin Konaković held a press conference today where he once again confirmed that he will not offer his resignation from that position and that, if someone wants to remove him, they need to gather 18 "hands" in the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton.

He also spoke about the reasons for leaving the SDA and how the government he leads will continue to work.

- The budget has been adopted and that is the most important thing. Ministers will continue their obligations regarding the Waterworks and GRAS. Crime at the ZOI '84 exists and we have presented part of it to the public. Three serious businessmen brought me evidence that they gave the director three percent for awarded contracts - said Konaković.

When asked whether, after leaving the SDA, he is closest to the A-SDA option, he reiterated that there have been talks with that party.

- We have had talks. They are decent people who have gone through similar problems and are very successful in Krajina. We don't have time to build new infrastructure across the entire country - added Konaković.
