Konaković held a telephone conversation with Minister Wadephul

(Patria) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković held a telephone conversation with the head of German diplomacy Johann Wadephul on the occasion of his visit to Sarajevo and they reviewed the key points of his arrival in BiH.

Given that the two could not meet in person due to Minister Konaković's current visit to the USA and Wadephul's ongoing official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the call served as an important opportunity to connect and exchange views until their next meeting.

The ministers confirmed that Germany remains one of the key partners of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European path, development agenda and reform processes. They emphasized that this reliable and long-standing partnership continues to bring tangible progress to institutions, communities and citizens across the country.

Minister Konaković emphasized the vital role of the Office of the High Representative (OHR) in preserving the functionality of institutions, respecting the Dayton Peace Agreement and ensuring stability, democratic governance and sovereignty. He highlighted the importance of the Bonn Powers when institutions face direct challenges, noting their crucial role in preserving the integrity of the Dayton framework in the face of destabilizing political actions.

"Minister Konaković confirmed Bosnia and Herzegovina's strong commitment to its path of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, which strengthens regional cooperation and long-term stability. He expressed deep gratitude for the continued support of allies and partners - especially Germany - in advancing these shared strategic goals," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH stated.
