(Patria) - The President of the People and Justice Party (NIP) and Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Elmedin Konaković, stated today that he does not see the point of meeting with coalition partners at the state level this week, unless there is a willingness and agreement to resolve something.
- We have several open issues and I see pre-election tension that causes more debate than room for agreement - Konaković told reporters after the session of the Council of Ministers of BiH held in Sarajevo.
He is of the opinion that the appointment of Slobodan Radinković as the director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) is neither the first nor the last controversial appointment, and he called on political actors to agree on BiH's path towards the EU.
- We have two billion KM pending and the obligation to resolve the blockades of SDA and DF, and to begin the integration of the BiH market into the European one.
It is also important that we adopt laws such as the law on courts, personal data protection, and the border belt. That should be our focus, not personnel issues - Konaković assesses, reports Fena.
He also adds that he will not support Radinković for the director of SIPA because he received serious warnings that he is not such a good candidate.
- The cost of living in BiH is high, and people are leaving every day. They will not be driven away by the appointment of some official, but they will be by the fact that we are not doing our job - Konaković concluded.
