Konaković: Don't play politics, we have overriding points and everything is absolutely in accordance with regulations

(Patria) - The Assembly of Sarajevo Canton should today at its session declare on the budget of Sarajevo Canton for 2021. Representative of the People and Justice (NiP) Elmedin Konaković proposed that the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton today declare on two agenda items, namely the Proposal of the budget of Sarajevo Canton for 2021 (urgent procedure) and the Proposal of the Law on the execution of the budget of Sarajevo Canton for 2021 (urgent procedure).

From the SDA Club, they believe that there is no legal basis for the proposal to be considered at an urgent session.

"We did not consider the Draft budget at all. We should have established the Draft budget. We can shorten the public debate, but do not deny democracy to citizens - 400,000 people did not participate in the public debate," believes Mahir Dević.

But Konaković clarified that the previous government acted wrongly.

"Let them understand that we are doing this according to the regulations for adopting the budget. They tell us what the government should have done. This is not a problem of Edin Forto's government, this is a problem of the previous government. By November 1, we did not have a Draft budget, by November 30, we did not have the accompanying documentation. We have overriding points and everything is absolutely in accordance with regulations. Everything is proposed according to deadlines. Don't play politics. Your incompetent government did not adopt everything it should have adopted, and now you want to stop healthcare, education, and everything else - well, that won't work," Konaković stated.
