(Patria) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, met today in Brussels with the European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi, whom he informed about the progress BiH has made, and they exchanged experiences and information in light of the expected final decision of the EU on the possible opening of negotiations with our country.
"In Brussels, they genuinely do not hide their satisfaction with what has been done so far, but they are asking us to bring this process to an effective end and to finalize the story about the BiH Court Law and the protection of electoral integrity these days," Konaković told Fena.
He emphasized that BiH is in the very final stage of this process and that with a little more effort, "we can achieve a historic breakthrough on the European path."
Konaković stated that this would guarantee us security and stability, and especially open up opportunities for new investments, economic development, and retaining young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Discussed with 🇧🇦Minister @DinoKonakovic the latest developments on the #EU path of #Bosnia and Herzegovina.
I welcome the reforms made.
They need to continue.
The time to deliver is now! pic.twitter.com/2J3mzkmCTZ— Oliver Varhelyi (@OliverVarhelyi) March 7, 2024
