Konaković at the First Congress of NIP: Overcome with Emotion, but No Stage Fright

(Patria) - The First Congress of the People and Justice party is being held in Sarajevo at the Youth Home.

The Congress will elect party bodies including the party president, thus completing the internal party elections.

The Congress will elect the president of People and Justice, two deputies, and at least four vice-presidents of the party.

The Main Board of People and Justice, which will have 99 members, and the party's Supervisory Board.

Elmedin Konaković, president of People and Justice, stated on this occasion that he has no stage fright, but that he was overcome with emotion.

“Because of this difficult journey over the past three and a half years and the image we are sending from this hall today. A completely different concept of political action, pure and clear principles, a call to a difficult struggle has borne fruit. It makes me proud that, despite all the obstacles we have overcome, we have managed to have a Congress that gathered the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Konaković emphasized.

He also stated that only the most optimistic believed that this kind of politics was possible.

“We need to prepare for everything that awaits us in 2022, which is a new concept of politics from the state level to all levels of government,” he said.

After the election of the new president of People and Justice, the newly elected president will address the media at 2:30 PM. More than 50 municipal and city organizations of NiP will participate in the congress.

Let us recall, recently Denis Zvizdić joined NiP, who left the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) in early July 2021.
