Konaković at informal dinner hosted by Kaja Kallas for EU and Western Balkans Foreign Ministers

(Patria) - BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković attended an informal dinner on November 19th, hosted in Brussels by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, for the Foreign Ministers of EU member states and the Western Balkan countries.

It was an opportunity to exchange views on regional and global challenges, as well as their impact on the security, prosperity, and stability of the European continent, considering the European Union accession process and the current geopolitical context.

During the discussions, a clear and common commitment to stability, constructive dialogue, and strengthening cooperation in the Western Balkans, as well as to the European integration process, was confirmed.

All parties agreed that sustainable regional dialogue is key to the stability and progress of each country in the region on its European path.

Issues of regional security, political dialogue, and the European perspective were also discussed – foundations that form the basis of a resilient and prosperous Western Balkans.

Minister Konaković emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina fully supports the fundamental values of the European Union, including democracy, the rule of law, human rights, solidarity, and constructive political dialogue.

He stressed that strengthening cooperation with EU institutions, member states, and regional partners is a strategic priority and an important investment in a safer, more prosperous, and European future for the entire region.

Representatives of the European Union reiterated their expectation that Bosnia and Herzegovina will soon adopt two key laws and appoint a chief negotiator, which are crucial steps for the country's further progress in the European integration process.
