Konaković at the "Justice for Ukraine" Ministerial Conference in The Hague

(Patria) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Elmedin Konaković is participating today in the "Justice for Ukraine" ministerial conference held in The Hague, organized by the Dutch Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice and Security.

Konaković addressed the attendees during the first part of the ministerial conference.

In his address, he emphasized support for Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders and condemned the aggression, stressing that BiH has fully supported the European Union's positions from the very beginning.

- From our own experience, we know better than anyone how important it is to ensure accountability for all violations of international law committed in or against Ukraine. These crimes must be punished - stated Konaković.

He also stated that BiH welcomes the establishment of the International Centre for the Prosecution of the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine at EUROJUST, the progress made by the Core Group regarding the establishment of a special tribunal for the investigation and prosecution of the crime of aggression against Ukraine, as well as the establishment of the Register of Damage.

He also referred to the experiences in the field of cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the ICMP and their DNA laboratories, where close cooperation between domestic and foreign experts has led to the identification of more than 75% of all reported missing persons in BiH, and expressed readiness to share experiences with Ukraine.

Konaković called on the international community for solidarity with Ukraine, to ensure the prosecution of crimes, and respect for the principles of international law.
