(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of BiH Željko Komšić sent a telegram of condolences to the President of the Republic of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen on the occasion of the tragic event at a school in the city of Graz.
"Dear President Van der Bellen, I received the news of the horrific attack at a secondary school in Graz, in which innocent people were killed and many were seriously injured, with deep sadness and disbelief.
Please accept, Your Excellency, my sincere condolences and solidarity. I hereby express my deepest condolences to the families of the victims and all citizens of the Republic of Austria.
This senseless and cruel act of violence leaves an indelible mark of pain and suffering, which we share with you. School should be a place of safe learning, where children and young people can develop their potential without fear and threats.
Unfortunately, what happened is not an isolated incident in contemporary society. The repetition of such tragedies indicates the urgent need for us to work together and decisively to find long-term solutions that will prevent similar crimes in the future.
Bosnia and Herzegovina expresses solidarity with the Republic of Austria and its citizens, and we wish the injured a successful and speedy recovery," said Željko Komšić in his telegram of condolences.
