Komšić: Vukoja does not meet the criteria for a judge, SDP's support would be bad for their rating

(Patria) - Democratic Front leader Željko Komšić, appearing on the show "Istraga sedmice" (Investigation of the Week), emphasized that he is both politically and professionally against the appointment of Marin Vukoja to the Constitutional Court of BiH, and stated that SDP's support for this would be very bad for SDP's rating.

"Only in our country can someone who is not an expert be a candidate for the Constitutional Court. This is not a place where someone can 'hone' their career, pass an internship, or a bar exam. Vukoja does not meet these criteria," Komšić said.

"And we will see if he will have support in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament," Komšić said.

He emphasized that the past practice of filling the Constitutional Court has not been good at all and that this must now stop.

He also stated that it would be very bad for SDP's rating if they voted for Vukoja, 'unless they made a deal with HDZ for them to vote for that party's candidate, and then later, at the end of this year, SDP gets its own person in the Constitutional Court'.
