Komšić in Tuzla: DF will be a winning party

TUZLA, (Patria) - A large rally of the Democratic Front (DF) was held tonight at the Bosnian Cultural Center in Tuzla, attended by DF President Željko Komšić, who addressed the attendees. He said that man's greatest struggle is with himself, with his ego, not to know everything, not to be the best, that there are others who are smarter and that one should extend a hand to them.

DF President Željko Komšić emphasized that two messages are being sent from Tuzla, which are related to each other.

- The first message concerns the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It seems to me that Bosnia and Herzegovina has not been in a more difficult situation since the end of the war until today, considering everything that is happening in and around Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the second message, we should return to something that is a classic left-wing, social, and social-democratic idea. Everyone should be in the service of those who are affected by injustice in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and there are too many of them. They are affected by various kinds of injustice – theft, arrogance, crime, their social and economic status - Komšić stated.

Komšić said that this is not an election rally but a gathering to round off what has been happening in the Democratic Front of Tuzla Canton for some time.

- What is happening in TK is a winning story, and I am convinced that DF in TK will be a winning party. I am proud of what I see - Komšić said.

President of the DF TK Cantonal Board, Zlatan Begić, emphasized that a powerful political organization has been built in this canton in the past period, to which 1,769 new members officially joined tonight, who are actively involved in local committees and municipal, city, and cantonal organizations.

- This is a new force that we have managed to gather and actively involve in the party structures of DF in TK. This gives us the right to say already now that we are the most organized and strongest political organization in TK. We are already capable of responding to very serious demands, including leading this country - said Begić.

Komšić said that they have the task of building the left wing as "God commands" and that this requires knowledge, honesty, and fighting with oneself. He conveyed that the battle for Bosnia and Herzegovina requires courage.

- I am not smart enough to give advice, but as I see it, they want to do to us with a pen what they couldn't do with a tank, a knife, or genocide from '92 to '95. The pressure is immense for changes to the Election Law, to give in now and say, okay, let everyone fence off their own. There is no chance, under any circumstances - said Komšić, which was met with applause from the audience.

Komšić emphasized that these are crucial years and that it will be as we choose. He concluded his address with the words:

- Long live Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Komšić presented membership cards to all new members.
