Komšić in Banja Luka: We care equally about citizens in the Federation and RS

"We want to show that we care about this area and RS in general, that we want to treat it like the other part of BiH, namely the Federation of BiH, that we have an ambition to develop in RS in the same or a similar way," said DF President Željko Komšić at a DF forum in Banja Luka held late Thursday afternoon, reports Patria News Agency.

Komšić said that "DF wants to show that we can have organizations with a mixed ethnic composition in RS as well, so that we are not accused of being a party of only one, another, or a third group".

The forum in Banja Luka last night aimed to introduce DF to the citizens of Banja Luka, as well as the entire Banja Luka region.

Speaking about the problems in BiH, Komšić said that they are numerous, but that they are particularly pronounced in smaller communities and smaller towns in BiH.

Some of the main problems burdening BiH society, Komšić said, are people leaving BiH, but that this is understandable given the overall situation in the country.

"As a parent, do I have the courage to tell my child to stay here?", said Komšić, blaming politics for such a state of affairs in the country.

Speaking about the announced referendum in RS on BiH's path to NATO, Komšić said that a referendum cannot be called in one part of the country and decide the fate of all citizens in that referendum.

"If you are going to play with these things and pretend to be democratic in this way, call it at the level of the entire BiH, and then we will see what the entire BiH will say," Komšić said in Banja Luka, reports Patria.
