Komšić: Foreigners will make a deal with the Trojka's pro-European Dodik, DF will not participate

(Patria) - BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić, in an interview for biscani.net , answered the question of whether there is a possibility that the international community will trade with Milorad Dodik and whether this is now imminent.

“This is not even something new, but an almost established way of resolving crises. First, Dodik creates a problem, and then the international community, due to the pro-Bosnian parties giving up on being a political subject representing their country, tries to calm Dodik down, usually at the expense of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its institutions.

Therefore, a deal between parts of the international community and Dodik regarding the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina is very possible, by promising freedom in exchange for calming down, or e.g. by giving state property to RR plus lifting the ban on performing political functions for Dodik. If this option becomes a reality, Dodik wins, and Bosnia and Herzegovina loses for a longer period.
It should not surprise anyone if Čović's demands for constitutional changes are also included in this settlement package, because everything Dodik and Čović do, they do together.

Čović always uses the opportunity to stab the country in the back when Dodik tightens the screws from the other side. It is the same this time, and we saw a few days ago in the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina, when voting on the dismissal of SNSD ministers, that they stick together,” said Komšić.

He also pointed out that negotiations with Dodik would mean a catastrophic outcome of the situation.

“The Democratic Front will not participate and will not negotiate with Dodik on the terms of his calming down after the committed coup d'état. However, I would not be surprised if the representatives of the Trojka enter into negotiations on the competencies of state institutions under the instruction of foreigners, especially those from the EU.

I am not sure if they would then again talk about the pro-European Dodik, as Edin Forto and Nermin Nikšić did, and whether they would lobby for Dodik in Brussels as Elmedin Konaković, by his own admission, lobbied for the lifting of sanctions against Dodik, but I am quite sure that Dodik, besides freedom for himself, would also extract other concessions for his own policy. I repeat, the DF will not participate in such a trade with the interests of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Komšić added.
