Komšić addresses the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on 25 January

(Patria) - Members of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH) to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will participate, in an online format, in the first part of the regular session of PACE, which will be held from 24 to 28 January this year in Strasbourg.

On the second day of the session, Tuesday, 25 January, parliamentarians will be addressed, as announced, by the Chair of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić.

The winter session of PACE is expected to elect the leadership, the Standing Committee and the working bodies of PACE. According to the proposed agenda, parliamentarians will consider the European Union Pact on Migration and Asylum from a human rights perspective, as well as reports on combating rising hatred against LGBTI persons in Europe and on alleged violations of the rights of LGBTI persons in the South Caucasus.

Parliamentarians are expected to consider reports from observer missions on the presidential elections in Bulgaria and the parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan, which were held in November last year.

Special events in Strasbourg during the winter session of PACE will mark the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust.
