(Patria) - With today's message that he does not want politicization and that the Council of Ministers of BiH proposes that the Presidency of BiH appoint the chief negotiator with the EU, the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH and the leader of DF, Željko Komšić, has completely debunked the accusations of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elmedin Konaković, about the existence of an alleged plan between DF and SNSD.
Konaković, two days ago, stated that DF and SNSD had prepared a plan that must not be implemented, according to which the entire procedure would be entrusted to Željka Cvijanović, who, as he stated, with the right of veto through the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NSRS), could block any appointment that does not suit Dodik and SNSD.
The leader of NiP did not present any evidence for this conspiracy theory that he attributed to DF and Komšić, presumably in the belief that it is enough to shout loudly to create a convincing impression.
This is not the first time Konaković has made baseless accusations against Komšić. For a careful observer of the European integration process, Konaković's false claim that Komšić asked the EU not to open negotiations with BiH during a meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Rutte at the Presidency of BiH is still memorable.
In the same way, Konaković accused the Democratic Front and Komšić of protecting SNSD and Milorad Dodik from his initiative to dismiss SNSD cadres in the Council of Ministers, even though the Democratic Front, unlike Trojka's partners from HDZ, voted for the dismissal of SNSD ministers in the Council of Ministers.
However, the votes of DF were not enough for the dismissal of SNSD ministers to actually happen, but that did not stop Konaković in his slander.
Indeed, it is difficult to count how many times Konaković himself, by loudly stating his untruths, has created confusion in the public. However, the latest case has, as Konaković likes to say, completely exposed his accusations.
It is now completely clear that there is no DF plan according to which the proposal for the appointment of the chief negotiator would be left to SNSD.
The proposal for appointment and the entire procedure are in the hands of Konaković's fastest-formed Council of Ministers of BiH.
The ruling majority, which in the Council of Ministers consists of HDZ, Trojka, and SNSD, is the one that, according to the Constitution and the law, should offer the proposal, and the Presidency of BiH should carry out the appointment.
