Komšić: Dissolving the BiH House of Peoples would give SNSD and HDZ a majority again, Miletić would be out

Chairman of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić responded to the Our Party's call for the BiH Presidency to dissolve the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament.

"Regarding Our Party's proposal, it is possible and technically feasible, however, we gain nothing new, because unfortunately, there is no balance of political forces that could ensure a more favorable composition of the House of Peoples.

We can dissolve the current composition of the House of Peoples, but then it remains in a so-called technical mandate, and we cannot form a new and better one, which leads us to provide SNSD and HDZ with an excuse for blockade, which would be used, for example, for not adopting the budget and blocking elections.

If we were to enter this process of new elections, I fear that only Zlatko Miletić would be removed from the Club of Peoples, because his re-election can no longer be secured, and HDZ will have all 5 delegates, meaning an even worse situation! I appreciate Our Party's interest, but we considered what NS is now proposing more than a year ago, and reached the conclusions I have stated," Komšić stated.
