Komšić attended the marking of Autism Awareness Day at the 'More nade' kindergarten of the Vladimir Nazor Centre

(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of BiH Željko Komšić, at the invitation of the employees of the "More nade" kindergarten of the Centre for Upbringing, Education and Rehabilitation "Vladimir Nazor" in Sarajevo, attended the marking of the World Autism Awareness Day.
 
Parents and their children who have been struggling with autism for years, as well as students of the Faculty of Pedagogy in Sarajevo – Department of Education and Rehabilitation, attended the activities organized on this occasion.
 
During his conversation with parents, Member of the Presidency of BiH Željko Komšić emphasized the importance of a long-term systemic solution to the problems faced by parents of children with autism. He stressed that autism is a condition that requires understanding, support, and inclusion. Through activities like today's event, we promote awareness of the needs of people with autism, said BiH Presidency member Komšić.

He emphasized the importance of promoting an inclusive society that respects diversity. He particularly highlighted the necessity of ensuring continuous and adequate financial resources to alleviate the burden on parents of children with autism, as well as on institutions that care for them. In the end, he stated that he would continue activities to create an environment where every person feels valued and supported by the entire society.
