Komšić received Kosovo's Prime Minister: We appreciate the visa abolition, BiH Presidency members will not ask anyone who they will meet with

(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo Albin Kurti in his office at the Presidency of BiH building.

Komšić thanked the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo for the decision to abolish the visa regime for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing that we appreciate such an exceptional unilateral, and therefore unusual, move by Prime Minister Kurti and the Government of Kosovo.

"This move will certainly contribute to better connectivity between the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, as well as to the increase of mutual trade," Komšić stated.

On this occasion, Komšić also addressed the alleged criticisms related to Kurti's visit and meetings in Bosnia and Herzegovina, coming from Republika Srpska as well as from the region, reminding that Republika Srpska is not a subject of international law and that Republika Srpska is not competent to issue visas for entry into BiH, and that the members of the Presidency of BiH will certainly not ask Milorad Dodik or anyone else who they will meet with or what they will discuss.

"We perceive the criticisms coming from the countries of the region as another clear evidence of attempts to deny the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina and pressure on the sovereign bodies and institutions of BiH in conducting foreign policy," Komšić stated.

Komšić and Kurti also discussed the overall political and social processes in the region on this occasion.
