Komšić: Both SDA and SNSD benefit from this situation

(Patria) - This all looks like an agreement between SNSD and SDA, said member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić on Thursday for the Patria agency, commenting on the announcement from SDA that they will ask the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to review the name of Republika Srpska.

“Both sides benefit from this situation. SDA to exert additional pressure, primarily on the BH bloc, so that they have to form a government with them (because Dodik wants the breakup of BiH), and it benefits SNSD because this completely ‘kills’ the little remaining opposition in RS, and completely ‘kills’ the story about BiH’s NATO path!”, said Komšić.

SDA announced on Wednesday that the long-standing practice of the authorities of the Republika Srpska entity has shown that the current name of the entity has been intensively and effectively used for the purpose of discrimination and exclusion of the other two constituent peoples - Bosniaks and Croats.

The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, responded that “if SDA wants to do that”, he will advocate for rigorous measures to protect Republika Srpska.
