Komšić visited the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York

NEW YORK, (Patria) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić visited the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York, and paid tribute at the memorial dedicated to innocent victims of the terrorist attack that occurred 18 years ago in this city, the BiH Presidency announced.

“This brutal terrorist crime against the citizens of New York and the USA led to a global change in attitude towards terrorism. Unfortunately, extreme ideologies never sleep, and tragedies similar to this one are happening today all over the world. The knowledge that forty percent of the victims who perished on September 11 during the attacks on the World Trade Center towers were never found or identified evokes terrible and indescribable emotions in a person. I can only imagine how the families of the victims feel.

We in BiH sympathize with the citizens of New York and the USA, because not so long ago, we experienced a similar fate. That is why we must all persevere in the fight against terrorism, all forms of violence and extreme ideologies. Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to make its full contribution to this common fight. We must do this for the future generations that are coming, generations that need to live in peace and freedom,” stated Komšić's cabinet.
