Komšić on the Election Law: Use the presence of American people

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The opposition would certainly win if it formed a pre-election coalition on a common platform and thus went to the elections united, said Ivo Komšić, a distinguished university professor, member of the Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the aggression, participant in the Dayton negotiations.

He explained that this platform should be created by democratic and liberal parties, finding common themes such as the fight against corruption and crime.

Professor Komšić said in the context of the upcoming talks on the Election Law that the Washington Agreement was made in three days.

“We put a proposal on the table. There is no division of the state, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is being created, and the other part not under the control of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Croatian Defence Council is considered occupied. However, Richard Holbrooke presented that entity proposal as an agreement between Tuđman and Milošević. But his associates at the time know what mistakes were made, we now have those people and they are our partners,” said Komšić.

Regarding the President of the Party of Democratic Action Bakir Izetbegović, Komšić said it is obvious that he is saving Dragan Čović, and indirectly Milorad Dodik.

He called on Izetbegović to stop negotiating with Čović and Plenković until they acknowledge the crimes and what happened during the aggression.

He emphasized that Izetbegović spoke about ending the talks on the Election Law, but that the situation changed after the conversation with Andrej Plenković in Dubrovnik.
