Komšić on Čović's candidacy: His attempts at blackmail to secure his victory have failed

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The candidate for the member of the BiH Presidency from the Croatian people on behalf of HDZ BiH is Dragan Čović, the president of that party and the current member of the BiH Presidency.  

The leader of DF and candidate for the member of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić, after the announcement of Čović's candidacy, said he believes it was not easy for him at all. 

- Thank you to Mr. Čović for finding the strength to announce his candidacy. For the first time, we will face each other one-on-one. With this candidacy, Mr. Čović has fully legitimized the existing election process and the civic choice of candidates - Komšić said.

He stated that all previous demands were just a show for the public, and an attempt at blackmail, so that Čović could enter a race where his victory was certain.

- When that didn't work, the only thing left for him was to accept the existing rules of the game - Komšić said.
