Komšić: After DF leaves Council of Ministers, Alliance for Change might follow

Bosnia and Herzegovina's progress on the European path is good news, and it is good that there are forces in Europe that want BiH closer to the Union, said Željko Komšić, president of the Democratic Front, in the show “Puls” on BN Television, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

- The decision, however, rests with the EU member states and it will in any case be made in Brussels, regardless of all the persuasions of domestic politicians. Let us have done that. It is a good thing for BiH that there is someone in Brussels and in some EU countries who says let's pull BiH a little closer to us. I truly see a way out for BiH in these Euro-Atlantic integrations. It is another matter what that practically means. Will we actually enter into talks and negotiations with the EU – Komšić points out.

On the other hand, Komšić believes that the political situation in BiH is the worst since the end of the war to date and that it represents an interesting historical case.

- We are actually living a situation where, as an interesting historical case, the war is being attempted to be ended by political means. I mean, whether this country will be a country of three entities or will move towards some integration – Komšić claims.

When asked who wants a third entity in BiH and who are the helpers in that intention, Komšić identified the president of SDA, Bakir Izetbegović, as a helper, and he personally told him so, as he claims.

- I told him (Bakir Izetbegović) you are to blame for this, you give him everything Čović asks for – Komšić stated.

He considers it his success that Milorad Dodik is not participating in the government at the BiH level, which he also told his former colleague from the BiH Presidency, Nebojša Radmanović.

- I told him, listen Nebojša, we were in the Presidency together for eight years and we know everything, but Milorad Dodik has gotten on people's nerves. Neither I, even if I wanted to, can abolish Republika Srpska, nor can you abolish BiH – says the president of the Democratic Front, Željko Komšić.

He said that he believes that after the DF leaves the Council of Ministers, the Alliance for Change will also be forced to do so.
