Komšić: The same plans that were in the 90s are at play

(Patria) - Attacks on Bosnia and Herzegovina are not ceasing. The policies of the 90s have never died down, they have only changed form, as has the attempt to relativize historical facts during the aggression against BiH.

The Chairperson of the Presidency of BiH, Željko Komšić, says that it is very important for the history and collective memory of a nation to remember those who laid down their lives in defense of this country.

- It has been like this since the war ended. And that is something that will, unfortunately, continue, in my opinion. But that says more about those people and structures that are doing it, about their hypocrisy, their cowardice.

They do not have the courage to admit it, and when you teach a child, you tell them that it is important to tell the truth and that truth is something that makes things easier, that liberates.

And those people who deny it, who are on the opposite side, it would be easier for them if they admitted it, it would be easier for them, not for us. We know what the truth is - Komšić told Hayat Television.

He adds that 30 years after the aggression, the same policy is being pursued, which only changes its forms.

- Sometimes it is aggressive, sometimes it is insidious, you see that the same plans that were in place in the 90s are actually at play, only they tried to achieve them with steel and crime back then.

And today they are trying to be smarter, more subtle, more cunning, more hypocritical, to achieve it in some other ways, and then they feed you stories asking if we are to blame for what happened, when we were only defending ourselves.

Now I can say, after so many years since the war, that I am wiser and can foresee how things are going - Komšić concluded.
