Komšić: It is up to us to stop the division of BiH into three pens and defend the achievements of ZAVNOBiH

Željko Komšić, president of the Democratic Front, said at the 6th Congress that the SDP is a party with a tradition necessary for the political life of BiH, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

He referred to the speech of Nermin Nikšić, which he delivered at the DF Congress about the unification of the left in BiH.

- Both we and you face a difficult challenge. Colloquially, they call it the unification of the left, whatever that means. How aware we are of a kind of historical responsibility that lies on us, time will tell. It seems to me that BiH in this post-war period has never been closer to being definitively divided, even administratively, into three ethnic pens or entities. It is our and your responsibility to stop that, to defend the achievements of ZAVNOBiH, summarized in a single sentence of all those who were born here and who love this country, who belong to it, fight for it, on every inch of its territory. That is the struggle ahead of us, and it seems to me that it will never be harder; that is the responsibility we carry - said Komšić.

The second type of responsibility is towards pensioners, workers, and veterans. The third challenge is how ready we are as organizations to enter into that and to create something useful for BiH based on that idea.

Komšić called on all those who are not members of the SDP and DF, and there are many, to join them and together achieve the goals that are necessary for us.
