Komšić, Kojović, Nikšić and Bajrović: Resist the right wing that is dividing BiH into ethnic mini-states

A meeting of the leaders of civic-left oriented political parties was held today in Sarajevo. The meeting was attended by Željko Komšić (Democratic Front), Predrag Kojović (Our Party), Nermin Nikšić (Social Democratic Party of BiH) and Reuf Bajrović (Civic Alliance), and the political situation in the country was discussed, it was announced after the meeting, reports Patria News Agency.

A common stance was agreed upon that it is of utmost importance for the destiny of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the interest of its citizens to provide a strong and clear political alternative to the right wing, which has begun to lead the country towards the division of BiH into three ethnic mini-states.

The leaders of the SDP, GS, NS, and DF have pledged to cooperate in all municipal and city councils after the elections, including the City Council of Sarajevo.

- We call on citizens to go to the polls. The right wing creates an illusion that it has great support, but there are more of us who are against divisions. We have pledged to cooperate after the local elections, thereby preventing nationalists from coming to power in an absolute majority of municipalities, as they announce will be the case - it is stated in the joint statement of the left-wing leaders.

- This also creates conditions for the victory of the civic option and the removal of nationalists from power in the 2018 elections. Therefore, it is extremely important that you go to the polls and cast your vote for one of these four political parties. Together we are stronger than them - the left-wing leaders conveyed.
