Komšić: The Bosnian diaspora's readiness to help their homeland is clear

SARAJevo, (Patria) - At the invitation of the German-Bosnian cultural association "Sevdah" from Frankfurt, a member of the BiH Presidency, Željko Komšić, participated in the diaspora forum of Bosnia and Herzegovina "Today, Tomorrow, and the Future", where the current political situation in our country, the elections to be held in October, and ways to facilitate the active participation of the diaspora in the socio-political life of BiH were discussed.

"Our citizens, who live and work in Germany today, are the best integrated into the society they live in, and their activities and support are of great importance for the stability and progress of our homeland. Their effort and readiness to help their homeland are stronger than all attempts to deny and destroy it. Our Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country with a thousand-year history, which existed even when most of today's European countries did not, and the attempts of certain external and internal political factors to destroy it with their destructive policies will not succeed," Komšić told the attendees.

He added that in our country, despite obstacles, there are policies that aim to form institutions through which it will be easier to establish contact between our citizens in the world and BiH, in order to improve the quality in the fields of science and education, economy, culture, and sports.

The forum highlighted the need to find an adequate way to better channel the demands of BiH citizens to the institutions of BiH and the Federal Republic of Germany, and that greater participation of the diaspora in the socio-political life of BiH is necessary.
