Komšić and Nikšić: The left goes together, let's restore hope to the people

The cooperation between SDP and DF is not short-term, it is long-term, cooperation until the elections and after the elections, a project that must not be tight for anyone, except for nationalist parties, this is a project that should restore people's hope in life and finally move the country forward, SDP President Nermin Nikšić and DF President Željko Komšić told reporters after a joint session of the main boards of these two parties today in Sarajevo.

At the joint session of the main boards of the two parties, a program of joint action was also signed. The goal, they said, is to oppose nationalist parties in the upcoming elections, but not, they emphasized, just to replace the current politicians in BiH, but to, as they stated, offer citizens hope in this country.

'This is a bloc that should offer citizens of BiH hope, very concrete projects, from tax reform to healthcare sector reform to the fact that citizens of BiH expect more hope and opportunity,' said Nikšić.

For Željko Komšić, this is a time when Bosnia and Herzegovina must finally move forward. The opportunities so far, he said, have not been utilized, and such mistakes must never be repeated by the left.

 “What we have done today is a kind of institutionalization of cooperation, which has existed between SDP and DF until now. A further, greater goal is to offer people of this country some new concept, some new political project after the elections. That this country goes in a different direction, completely opposite to the one it is currently going. People should be freed from fear. That is perhaps the hardest job - to regain people's trust through our behavior, not just words - said Komšić, writes NAP.
