Komšić and Džaferović with Akar: Readiness expressed to respond to any BiH request

(Patria) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić and members of the BiH Presidency Šefik Džaferović and Milorad Dodik received the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Turkey, Hulusi Akar.

Members of the BiH Presidency welcomed the exceptionally good and friendly political relations and cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey, which are accompanied by intensive high-level visits. Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey have no open issues, and the most important areas of bilateral relations are legally regulated, which represents a good basis for improving already good bilateral cooperation.

Minister Akar conveyed greetings from the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to the members of the BiH Presidency and the intention to continue friendly relations and cooperation in all areas between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey.

He reiterated strong support for the stability and prosperity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and expressed readiness to respond to any request related to assistance and cooperation that Bosnia and Herzegovina directs to the Republic of Turkey.

Speaking about cooperation in the field of defense, it was stated that it is at a satisfactory level, as evidenced by numerous signed agreements, as well as those in the preparation phase that regulate this area. Minister Akar expressed readiness to continue cooperation in the field of education of military personnel, in military exercises, and in the demining process.
Members of the BiH Presidency thanked the Republic of Turkey for its continuous and friendly support and assistance, and emphasized the constructive role of the Republic of Turkey in the Western Balkan region.
