SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Members of the Presidency of BiH Željko Komšić and Šefik Džaferović will attend the commemoration dedicated to January 27, International Holocaust Remembrance Day - Jewish Community Hall today from 12 PM.
The United Nations General Assembly adopted an official resolution in 2005 on the observance of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day (January 27).
The resolution appeals to all United Nations member states to honor the memory of the victims of the Holocaust and encourages the development of educational programs on the history of the Holocaust, thereby demonstrating a commitment to help prevent acts of genocide in the future.
The observance of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day begins at 12 PM with a commemoration, which will also include a screening of the documentary film "Surviving in Sarajevo." At 2 PM, the exhibition "Antisemitic Posters in Nedić's Serbia and the NDH" will be opened at the Museum of the Jews of BiH.
