Komšić and Bećirović begin visit to Ukraine in Bucha, a city where Russians committed horrific crimes

(Patria) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić and member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović have arrived in Ukraine. They began their visit in Bucha, near Kyiv. This is a city where Russians committed horrific crimes against the civilian population. Members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina laid flowers at the memorial to the victims of Bucha.

In April 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed in Bucha and stated that Russia had committed a war crime and that the world would recognize it as genocide.

US President Joe Biden also called Russian President Vladimir Putin a war criminal at the time.

The International Criminal Court in The Hague issued an arrest warrant for Putin in March of this year for the war crime of unlawful deportation of the population (children) and unlawful transfer of the population (children) from the occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.

Komšić and Bećirović are expected to have a series of meetings with Ukrainian officials, as well as a meeting with President Zelensky.
