Komšić: Today we commemorate the honorable struggle of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina for justice, freedom, and dignity, and its heroic soldiers

(Patria) - April 15, 1992, is certainly one of the most significant dates in the modern history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is known to everyone that on that date, by decision of the Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was formed, said BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić, who, along with other members of the BiH Presidency, is in Brussels today to hold a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

"Today, as we mark the 33rd anniversary of its founding, we must remember its honorable struggle for justice, freedom, and dignity of all citizens of our homeland, and its heroic soldiers who showed iron will, courage, and humanity. It is our duty to preserve the memory of their sacrifices and to continue building Bosnia and Herzegovina as a country of justice.

Let us never forget the superhuman efforts that the soldiers of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina have woven into the foundations of our state. Let us never forget whom we owe our freedom today.

I congratulate all former members of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and all those who respect its universal values once again on the 33rd anniversary of the founding of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the 20th anniversary of the formation of the 2nd Infantry (Ranger) Regiment of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
