Komšić: If the Troika wanted an agreement with us on the Election Law, I would have no problem being with them, but they want to give everything to Čović

(Patria) - “We asked the SDA that when talks on amendments to the Election Law and the Constitution are held, no party would take a unilateral step, i.e., agree to such amendments to the Election Law and the Constitution without the consent of the other party. If the Troika wanted the same thing now, I would have no problem being with them, but there would certainly be major problems in functioning, because we would not agree to what they are doing, to deliver everything to Dragan Čović,” said the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and President of the DF, Željko Komšić, as a guest on Radio Kalman.

“I have no problem with the Troika. The SDA did the same thing in the previous term with the fourth delegate from the SNSD, but at that time we had no representatives in the RS, where that delegate from the NSRs was elected. So, my problem with the Troika is what I just mentioned; why are you giving them everything, why are you agreeing to everything.

Another thing, there is a political problem, primarily with Konaković. He thinks that the position of member of the Presidency of BiH, which I currently hold, cannot be held by me, nor by your child, but must be held by Dragan Čović or someone authorized by Čović. I cannot accept that, for me it is wrong,” said Komšić.

“Why were we with the SDA then? Let me tell you right away. We had an agreement with the SDA, and the SDA agreed to it and stuck to that agreement. Whether they ever thought of changing it or not is not important now, but they kept the agreement to the end. We had an agreement with them because at that time an attack on amendments to the Election Law and the Constitution began, led by foreigners of course, supported by Zagreb, the HDZ, and even some parties in Sarajevo, to divide this country at both the Presidency level and the House of Peoples level so that only someone who is, as Dragan Čović says, an authentic Croat can sit in both the Presidency and the House of Peoples. I cannot accept that,” Komšić explained.
