Komšić, Bećirović and Cvijanović with Von der Leyen: Confirmation of strong and continuous EU support for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region

(Patria) - Members of the Presidency of BiH Željko Komšić, Denis Bećirović and Željka Cvijanović received the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen today in Sarajevo.

Members of the Presidency of BiH expressed satisfaction with the visit of the President of the European Commission, assessing her arrival as confirmation of the strong and continuous support of the European Union for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, and an additional incentive for reform processes on the path to EU membership.

During the meeting, the interlocutors welcomed the submission of the Reform Agenda within the Growth Plan for Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing that this document represents a significant step forward in the process of European integration and further economic consolidation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Von der Leyen welcomed the efforts and evident progress of BiH in implementing reforms and emphasized that the European Union remains a strong and reliable partner for BiH's European path and its gradual accession to the single European market, which will affect the direct economic development and progress of the country.

Members of the Presidency of BiH once again confirmed their firm commitment to strengthening the partnership of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the European Union and their dedication to fulfilling the next steps in order to withdraw funds and implement the Growth Plan.

They thanked Von der Leyen for the support and encouragement extended to Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the occasion of the progress and continuous engagement of our country on the European path, it was announced from the Presidency of BiH.
