Komšić: If foreigners don't stop Dodik, we will, we won't gamble with the state!

(Patria) - Željko Komšić, Chairman of the BiH Presidency, said in an interview for Radiosarajevo.ba that BiH has never really been left in peace by those who threaten the existence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that if foreigners do not stop Presidency member Milorad Dodik, there will be no other choice but to stop him ourselves.

“I don’t need to mention who it is, they will find themselves. However, despite all the attacks on Bosnia and Herzegovina, it has survived and will survive. We can and I have no doubt that we will do everything in that regard. Everything worst that could have happened to a country and its citizens has already happened to us, from aggression, genocide, and atrocities that the history of humanity does not remember. The enemies of the state have killed fear in us, and that is something we should consider if they attack our country and citizens by force again. Fear does not paralyze us, except for the few who want to present their personal comfort as the people's indifference to the fate of the state,” Komšić told Radiosarajevo.ba.

He emphasized that he will not agree to put the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina on some kind of “market stall” to then haggle over them with a “thug like Dodik”.

“Foreigners, whether they are our friends or enemies, must know this. We will not negotiate with a thug about the existence of institutions whose formation was carried out in accordance with the Constitution and law in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I have said it once, and I will repeat it again. It is better for foreigners to stop Dodik, who is asking for too much, than for us to stop him. If they don’t stop him, we will have no other choice but to stop him ourselves. He has put peace in the region and Europe at stake. We will not gamble with our state,” Komšić stressed.
