Transport and Communications Commission of the PSBiH House of Representatives supports Jasmin Emrić's conclusions on the situation in BHRT

(Patria) - A thematic session of the Transport and Communications Commission of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held today with one item on the agenda.

The discussion focused on the topic "Current situation and problems in the operations and functioning of Radio Television of Bosnia and Herzegovina," announced NES representative Jasmin Emrić, a member of the Commission.

"Although I am aware that we have not done anything new that could help the current negative financial situation of BHRT and the very complex situation resulting from years of political obstruction and non-implementation of the Law on the Public Radio-Television System of Bosnia and Herzegovina (the Law), I believe we must identify the policies and their representatives, members of the JRTS BiH Board (System Board), who prevent the implementation of the Law through irresponsible and negligent work," Emrić stated.

According to him, all previous and current members of the System Board, who abuse this function through negligent work and irresponsibility reflected in the fact that even 18 years after the adoption of the Law, the Corporation of the JRTV service of Bosnia and Herzegovina has not been established, are responsible for the existing collapsed Public Radio-Television System of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"The Law is clear, the culprits are known, and the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is on the move. No one is above the law, it is often repeated, but it must finally be demonstrated that this is so. Regarding the entire situation, I proposed concrete conclusions that were unanimously supported by all present members of the Commission," Emrić emphasized.
